The fifth generation (5G) network has provided opportunities for novel over the network applications and services, all with diverse demands for uplink and/or downlink latency, throughput and reliability. One sector, which poses strict requirements with regards to the aforementioned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is the Automotive -and more specifically the Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM), with a plethora of use cases and scenarios. Although numerous methods have been applied in the past, in order to properly measure the different aspects of the 5G networks’ performance, as well as the domainspecific applications’ KPIs, there is a need to shed more light on novel and efficient means to assess the impact of 5G deployment’s performance on CAM use cases and scenarios. In this paper, a thorough methodology is presented for three key CAM use cases, namely Tele-operated Drivng, High-definiton Mapping and Anticipated Cooperative Collision Avoidance, Besides the methodology, measurement tools and selected KPIs, results from the large-scale trials’ execution in European corridors are also presented and discussed, for each one of those use cases.
