Simulations des HARQ1 sur les couches RLC et physique de l'UMTS

UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) will provide Quality of Service (QoS) to its carried packets. The RLC layer is in charge of the PDU retransmission. The physical layer is in charge of the information coding. The configuration of these layers could improve the Error rate and the delays. The combination of both layer allowed the HARQ1: automatic error correction by the convolutional code and discard of the erroneous packets at the physical layer, and retransmission of the missing PDU by the RLC layer. By simulating the behavior of these layers on a Gaussian channel, we make a set table with respect to the application requirement and the quality of the channel.
