EURECOM wishes to involve students in its "promotion" activities and thus values their commitment to the school community.

Activity of elected student delegates:
- Participation in teaching committees appeal commissions and disciplinary councils

Activities to "promote" the school:
- Travel to the venue of the event
- The pedagogical recognition of student commitment takes the form of a compulsory UE for first-year students and an optional free EC for the other years.
Course Policies
Student engagement activities can only be validated once per academic year.
For elected students:
- Any invitation to attend a council or a committee is equivalent to an authorization to be absent from lessons for full members and, in the event of absence or impediment, for substitute members.
- The list of elected students is communicated to the heads of the components concerned so that the special status of these students in the context of teaching is known.
For "promotion" activities:
- Possibility of one-off absence from lessons, duly justified
The commitment mission must represent a minimum of 20 hours over the academic year.

To validate the CE, each student must accumulate a cumulative total of 4 points over the academic year.
Activities concerned by recognition in the student's curriculum:
- Activity of student representatives (student delegates): 3 points per year
- Activities for the "promotion" of the school
- High school forum: 1 point per forum
- Student Ambassadors: 1 point per half day
- Campus Channel: 1 point
- Mines-Telecom competition reception: 1 point per ½ day of presence
- Trade fairs: 1 point per ½ day of attendance
- Help with the organization of events: 1 point per ½ day of work
Activities excluded from the recognition of student commitment:
- Occasional participation in associative actions
- Student projects that are already recognized pedagogically
- Internships that are part of the curriculum
Please note: The recognition of student commitment cannot be combined with the following schemes:
- Gap year
- Student employee status
Learning Outcomes
- Identify the audience to be addressed (expectations, status, audience…) and adapt your speech;
- Guide and advise (listen to and understand requests, respond to them or identify resource persons);
- Mastering and applying foreign languages;
- Expressing oneself to the media;
- Establishing relationships and convincing;
- Speaking in small or large groups.

Evaluation
- Whatever the type of commitment, attendance is an evaluation criterion.
- The assessment of the report is based partly on the personal investment and the effective and lasting involvement of the student during the performance of the assignment, but also on his or her ability to present the issues at stake in the assignment clearly, to propose a reflection on the assignment and the skills acquired or developed.
The assessment will be based on a 3 to 5 pages report justifying and describing the activities of the student's commitment, allowing the identification of the skills, knowledge, and aptitudes acquired.
The report is not only descriptive. It is a reflexive approach to the actions carried out, the results obtained and the enhancement of the skills acquired, which may be transversal (working in a team, being autonomous, organizing an event, etc.)
The report will be evaluated by the student life officer or by a person designated by the Director of Studies.
The student may refer to the portfolio of competencies published by the Ministry of Sports, Youth, Popular Education, and Associative Life to help him/her in the reflection and writing of the report.
Based on this evaluation, the validation of the competencies, knowledge, and skills acquired during the activities will be pronounced.
