At EURECOM, we are at the forefront of bridging academic research with practical, real-world applications. Our latest initiative is a startup, spin-off from our lab, dedicated to a groundbreaking project in cybersecurity. This venture is supported by an ERC grant from the EU and focuses on developing a sophisticated service for Android malware analysis. We seek an Android Security Engineer skilled in Android platform and kernel development, and collaborating in research activities related to Android security and malware analysis fields.
The Role:
- Collaborate on academic research projects on Android malware analysis, taking part in the development of our malware sandbox.
- Support designing and implementing mitigation against novel evasive malware techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the system in a cloud-based environment.
- Document the design and the entire architecture comprehensively.
Your Profile:
- Proven experience with the Android platform (AOSP and kernel).
- Strong understanding of Android, security, and best deployment practices.
- Proficiency with both x86 and ARM architectures.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate complex architectures and policies.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and its suite of products is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in C and Python.
