Louis earned his engineering degree from Supélec and his MSc in Communication Systems from the School of Computer and Communication Systems, EPFL in 2003.
From August 2002 to March 2003, he carried out his Master thesis at the Mathematics Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) in India.
Since 2003, he is researcher at Orange Labs (formerly France Télécom R&D), and is part-time PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Ernst Biersack since 2007.
His PhD work is mainly focused on streaming performance (TCP or UDP) over fixed or wireless networks.
