We review some techniques for reducing the Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in OFDM systems and present a new method called Discrete Clipping. This method achieves a good reduction of the PAPR with a low computational complexity and a small redundancy at the expense of some Inter Carrier Interference (ICI). Through analysis, we show how to reduce the amount of ICI. Finally, some simulations are given.
