Rosa Candela is currently a PhD student in the Data Science department of EURECOM in Sophia-Antipolis, France, under the supervision of Professor Pietro Michiardi.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering in 2015 and her Master's degree in ICT For Smart Societies in 2017, both from "Politecnico di Torino".
Her Master's Thesis was carried out in the Data Science department of EURECOM. Objectives of the thesis were to study TensorFlow distributed implementation, to assess the performance of Distributed Stochastic Gradient Descent according to different synchronization schemes, to implement and test the distributed version of a Deep Gaussian Processes framework.
Her research at EURECOM is part of a project with Amadeus and it is focused on time series analysis with Bayesian inference techniques.
