Gia-Lac TRAN is currently a PhD student in Data Science department of EURECOM in Sophia-Antipolis, France, under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Filippone.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligent from the University of Science in 2014, and his thesis investigated the approaches of sketch recognition.
Subsequently, he received his Master of Engineering degree from TélécomParisTech in 2014. His thesis is focused on Deep Gaussian Processes.
He will continue his research on Gaussian processes at EURECOM, with main focus on investigating the potential for scaling inference to large datasets.
