VAIDANIS Symeon is currently a PhD student at the Communication Systems Department at EURECOM - Sophia Antipolis, under the supervision of Professor Marios Kountouris and Co-supervisor Assistant Professor Photios Stavrou, working on the 6G SNS-JU EU Project: "6G – GOALS: 6G Goal-Oriented AI-enabled Learning and Semantic Communication Networks."
Between November 2023 and December 2023, Symeon joined EURECOM – Sophia Antipolis as a Scientific Visitor under the supervision of Professor Marios Kountouris. During his visit, Symeon worked on the SONATA ERC Project.
In 2023, he obtained his M.Eng. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (with a major in Telecommunications) from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His diploma thesis, titled "Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface: Selection and Configuration for Integrated Sensing and Communication," was conducted in the Network Management & Optimal Design Laboratory (NETMODE) of the NTUA under the supervision of Professor Symeon Papavassiliou.
